The old part of the village is full of charm with its quaint narrow streets and traditional painted houses, many of which are now listed buildings. The Moray and Banffshire coast line has some extraordinary coastal features such as Bow Fiddle Rock, which is approximately 50 feet high and composed of quartzite rock it forms a large sea arch, which resembles the bow of a fiddle. It is a natural choice for a wide range of nesting birds.
